Colorado River Toad – Signed Fine Art Print

Information about the Colorado river toad:

The Colorado River Toad - also called the Sonoran Desert Toad - is a large amphibian native to the deserts the southwestern United States and northern parts of Mexico. They spend a large part of their lives in underground burrows, venturing out only to feed and mate and only when the conditions are right. As an amphibian, they absorb water through their skin, therefore the arid, dry air of the desert during daylight hours is an unsuitable environment for them. They are one of North America's largest amphibians, reaching lengths of up to 7 inches. They are noted for their skin and venom, which has 5-MeO-DMT and bufotenin in them, making them what's called a 'psychoactive toad' - in which the chemicals in the toad can be used to obtain an altered state of consciousness when ingested by humans. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
