Information about the Xantus's Hummingbird:

The Xantus's Hummingbird is a medium-sized hummingbird. It is  3.25-3.75 inches long (8-9 cm) and weighs about 3-4 g. It has been recorded as a vagrant up the Pacific coast of North America to British Columbia in Canada. This hummingbird is found in dry, semidesert forests and scrublands at a wide range of elevations, usually not far from water. It avoids the driest areas at low elevation. It will use human-created open woodlands such as orchards and irrigated shrubs. The breeding habitat occurs in various habitats of southern Baja Peninsula of Mexico where it is considered endemic. These birds feed on nectar from flowers and flowering trees using a long extendable tongue or catch insects on the wing. Yacare Caiman – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Yacare Caiman:

The Yacare Caiman is native to central South America, including northeastern Argentina, Uruguay, southeastern Peru, eastern Bolivia, central/southwest Brazil, and the rivers of Paraguay. About 10 million individual Yacare caimans exist within the Brazilian pantanal, representing what is quite possibly the largest single crocodilian population on Earth. As a medium to small to mid-sized crocodilian, most adult males grow to roughly 6.6 or 8.2 feet (2 or 2.5 m) in length. Females are rather smaller at an average of 1.4 m (4.6 ft). Body mass in this species can range up to 130 pounds (58 kg in males and from 31-51 pounds (14 to 23 kg) in females. Their relatively smaller size makes them a potential prey of the jaguar and anaconda. This species' diet consists primarily of fish (especially piranha) and birds, reptiles, small mammals. With the occasional large mammals (especially capybara) being taken by larger adults.

Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker:

The Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker is a medium sized woodpecker native to the forested areas of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. This bird measures about 7.1–8.7 inches long, (18–22 cm) with a wingspan of 13–16 inches (34–40 cm) and weighs 1.4–2.2 ounces (40–63 g.) As the name implies, these active bird drill holes into trees and feed upon the sap that leeches out through the holes. They will often choose a weak tree - perhaps one that has been ravaged by disease - and will use that tree to feed for several months, sometimes even years. They will also sometimes use these same trees to build their nests. Yellow-Billed Magpie – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Yellow-Billed Magpie:

The Yellow-Billed Magpie is native only to the Central Valley and Central Coast Ranges of California, unlike it's relative the Black-Billed Magpie which is found in much of the rest of the United States. It very strongly resembles the Black-Billed Magpie too, except for the striking yellow beak and thin strip outline around the eyes. . It is a member of the crow family. The Latin name is in honor of the English naturalist Thomas Nuttall. Magpies are clever and opportunistic feeders. They will steal food from orchards, campsites and backyards, exploiting many different types of human inhabitance. While the birds are not considered endangered, West Nile Virus, habitat loss and pesticide use has greatly decreased their numbers and they have been extirpated in many areas they were once common.
