Walleye – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Walleye:

The Walleye - sometimes called the Yellow Walleye to distinguish it from the now extinct Blue Walleye - gets its distinctive name because of the eyes - which reflect white light. Like nocturnal animals, this is caused by a light-gathering layer in the fish's eyes that allows it to see in very low light conditions. The Walleye is native to lakes and streams of much of Canada and the northern areas of the United States. The fish generally grows to be about 31 inches long (80 cm) and weighs roughly 20 pounds (9 kg.) It is considered one of the most edible of the sports fish, and when prepared the fish is light, flakey and delicious. It is the state fish of both Minnesota and South Dakota. Western Bluebird – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Western Bluebird:

The Western Bluebird is a medium-sized thrush. They're native to the open grasslands of western North America, usually adjacent to forests or small stands of trees. Their range is from southern British Columbia down into central Mexico, with much of the population concentrated along the California coastline. These passerine birds feed on insects such as beetles, caterpillars and spiders, but will also eat berries and other plant matter. At one time the Western Bluebird was considered threatened, but now this has reversed and the bird is actually expanding it's range, perhaps due to it's ability to adapt to areas where forests have been cleared and grasslands have taken their place.

Western Painted Turtle – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Western Painted Turtle:

Western Painted Turtles get their name from the brightly colored carapace of red, olive and yellow. As the name implies the Western Painted Turtle is found in the western and central parts of North America. They are commonly seen in marshes, ponds, streams and lakes. They are medium sized turtles, growing to between 4-10 inches long. Painted Turtles are omnivorous, although they tend to eat more plants and less meat. Witches Hat Water Tower, Minneapolis – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Witch's Hat Water Tower:

The Witch's Hat Water Tower is located in the historic Prospect Park neighborhood of Minneapolis. The park dates back to 1874, when real estate magnate Louis Menage began to lay out the foundations for new subdivisions in this area of the city. The tower itself, designed by architect Frederick William Cappelen, was built in 1913. It is one of the few remaining towers in the city. It held 150,000 gallons of water when it was active. It is believed that the Bob Dylan song "All Along the Watchtower" was inspired by this tower, which resides on one of the highest points in the city and would have been easily visible from the "Dinkytown" area in which Dylan once lived. The tower was decommissioned in 1952 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
