Information about aquatic animals:

The animals of the world’s oceans comprise nearly every type of animal class – mammals, birds, invertebrates and reptiles. They include the largest animal to ever live on the planet – the Blue Whale – down to the microscopic sized plankton. They include highly intelligent animals like the cephalopods – which include the octopus and the cuttlefish and fierce predators like the Great White Shark and Barracuda.

All life on the earth has come from the ocean, and we know more about the surface of the moon than we do the bottoms of the ocean. 71% of the planet’s surface is covered by water. It is estimated that over 100,000,000 species of animal that live in the world’s oceans, many of which are undiscovered. Unfortunately, many of the ocean’s animals are in danger of extinction due to overfishing and pollution.
