American Alligators are native to the Southeastern United States. Generally these albino morphs are found only in zoos and aquariums, as they rarely survive in the wild. The American Alligator is one of only two species of alligator. The other being the Chinese Alligator. It is native to the Southeastern United States. This large reptile inhabits wetlands and swamps. The alligator is usually olive, brown, gray or nearly black colored with a lighter, white-ish underside. Adult males can reach up to 13 to 14.7 feet long with the females being slightly smaller and weighing less. The largest recorded American Alligator was nearly 19 feet long.
