The Dromedary or Arabian Camel is a widely domesticated, large ungulate. In fact, this animal is so thoroughly domesticated they are not believed to exist as wild animals. They grow to about 84 inches tall, 84 - 121 inches long and weighs between 1000 - 1500 pounds. They are members of the family Camelid and are closely related to the South America llama and the alpaca. They are essential to humans living in the desert areas, providing transpiration, milk and meat.
