The Ethiopian Wolf - also called Abyssinian wolf or fox, red jackal, Simien fox, or Simien jackal is a large predatory mamma native to Ethiopian highlands (9800 feet or 3,000 meters) in Africa. They are medium-sized wolves and closely resemble the coyote. It weighs about 25-43 pounds, with the males being somewhat larger. At this time the species is limited to seven isolated mountain ranges. More than half of living members of this endangered wild dog live in the Bale Mountains.
