The Hentz Striped Scorpion - also called the Florida Striped Scorpion - is a member of the Buthidae family. It is one of three species of scorpions native to Florida. They are not large - only about 2-2.75 inches. They're usually found in dark spaces, like under rocks, in leaf litter and small crevices. They do get into houses where they are considered pests.
