Information about the Galapagos Land Iguana:

The Galapagos Land Iguana is a large reptile native to the Galapagos Islands, mostly found on the islands of Fernandina, Isabela, Santa Cruz, North Seymour, Hood, and South Plaza. Their coloration ranges from oranges, yellows and red to darker shades of browns and grays. Despite their unique coloration Charles Darwin described them as "ugly animals." These lizards are herbivores, feeding mostly on plant matter, usually in the form of the tough, spiky cacti native to their habitat. Despite protection of the islands these reptiles live on, some conservation groups consider them "vulnerable" as non-native species have been introduced to their habitat such as cats and rats. There is ongoing work to remove them and restore the environment back to normal. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
