Information about the Green Frog:
The Green Frog is a medium sized amphibian native to the eastern half of North America. They are considered a 'true frog' - which means they are smooth, moist-skinned, with large, powerful legs and extensively webbed feet. These are very adaptive frogs, and can live in a variety of freshwater environments, such as lakes, ponds, roadside ditches, bogs, marshes and slow moving streams. They feed on small invertebrates such as crayfish, shrimps, as well as insects, snakes, snails, and even other frogs and small birds. Basically, they'll eat whatever seems like food and they can fit in their mouth. They are often kept as pets and do well in aquariums.
