The Dwarf Seahorse, sometimes called a 'seapony' because of it's diminutive size - is a member of the Syngnathidae family. It is found western Atlantic Ocean - including the Caribbean sea, the Gulf of Mexico - in grassy seabeds, where it feeds on small crustaceans. It is a very popular aquarium fish, and is the only known seahorse to be easily bred in captivity. They are thought to be slowest moving fish in the world's oceans, according the Guinness Book of World Records, and they probably never attain speeds of more than 0.001 m.p.h.
