Information about Black Phantom Tetras:
Black Phantom Tetras are tropical freshwater fish native to streams, rivers and lakes of the Amazon rainforests of Bolivia and Brazil. They are about 1.75 inches long (4.5 centimeters) in captivity but can grow much larger in the wild. The two sexes are easy to tell apart; the male has a blue-black coloration with a very large dorsal fin, where are the female has a smaller dorsal fin and has some red/orange coloration which the male does not. They are extremely popular aquarium fish as they are hardly, live well with other fish and are extremely attractive looking fish as well being fairly easy to breed in captivity.
