Hourglass Dolphin – Signed Fine Art Print

Information about the Hourglass Dolphin:

The Hourglass Dolphin is a small marine mammal of the Delphinidae Family. It inhabits Antarctic and sub-Antarctic waters. And for that reason, this dolphin is actually rarely seen by humans, and wasn't discovered and identified until 1824. In that time only a few specimens have ever been examined. These dolphins tend to travel in smaller pods of 5-10 adults, feeding on small fish and squid. These cetaceans are often seen in the company of Fin Whales and as early whalers used them as indicators that larger whales were in the area. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
