Snowshoe Hare – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Snowshoe Hare:

The Snowshoe Hare, also called the Varying Hare, is a species of rabbit found in the northern areas of North America. It is called the Snowshoe Hare because of it's large hind feet, which help prevent the hare from sinking in the snow when walking, running or jumping. During the summer the hare is a dull brown, but in winter the hare turns white to help camouflage it in the snow. In summer the hare feeds on plants such as grass, ferns and leaves; in winter, it eats twigs, the bark from trees, and buds from flowers and plants. It will occasionally steal meat from baited traps. White-Tailed Jackrabbit – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the White-Tailed Jackrabbit:

The Whitetailed Jackrabbit - also called the Prairie Hare or simply White Jack - is a hare native to much of North America, mostly from the upper Mid-West to nearly the Pacific Coast. There are two recognized subspecies: subspecies: L. townsendii townsendii and L. townsendii campanius. At one point it was believed that this species had been extirpated, but due to observation and other methods it is clear the species' population is stable and it is not considered endangered or even threatened. Like other species of hare, the White-Tailed Jackrabbit feeds on a variety of plant matter such as grasses and tender shoots of various plants and flowers. They are mostly active in the morning and near dusk.
