The Scimitar Oryx - also called the Sahara Oryx - is a species of oryx that was native to most of Northern Africa. Unfortunately, it has been completely extirpated in the wild and now only lives in zoos and on wildlife reserves. The scimitar oryx was a very sociable animal and traveled in herds of between two and forty individuals, generally, led by a dominant bull. This species once gathered in groups of several thousand for migration. Because of it's valuable horns, the species was hunted until it was extinct in the wild.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
