Painted Bunting – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Painted Bunting:
The Painted Bunting is a member of the Cardinalidae family. It is sometimes described as the most beautiful bird of North America. When fully grown these birds grow to about 4.7–5.5 inches (12–14 cm) in length wth a wingspan of 8.3–9.1 inches (21–23 cm) weighing roughly 0.46–0.67 ounces (13–19 g) During the summer or breeding season these birds range from southern Arizona, southern New Mexico, southern and eastern Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, northern Florida, coastal Georgia, the southern coast of South Carolina, and northern Mexico. In the winter they migrate to South Florida, Cuba, the Bahamas, along both coasts of Mexico and through much of Central America. When not breeding, the Painted Bunting feeds on plant matter such as grass seeds, and it will eat small invertebrates (spiders, grasshoppers, caterpillars, etc) when during the breeding season. They are popular birds to have as pets, but in the United States it is illegal to do so, as they are protected under the U.S. Migratory Bird Act.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
