Bewick’s Wren – Signed Fine Art Print

Information about the Bewick's Wren:

The Bewick's Wren is a small songbird of the wren family native to North America. They are found from southern British Columbia, Nebraska, southern Ontario, and southwestern Pennsylvania south to Mexico, Arkansas and the northern Gulf States. They were once very common in the eastern part of North America, but they're now rarely seen there. The Bewick's Wren does not migrate. These active birds prefer dry brushy areas, chaparral, scrub, thickets in open country, and open woodlands near rivers and streams. But they can also be found in gardens, residential areas, and parks in cities and suburbs. This wren feeds on insects and spiders, which it plucks from vegetation or finds while foraging on the ground. Wrens are sometimes observed looking for food with other birds species such as chickadees.
