The Bent's Spiny-Tailed Lizard is a member of the family Agamidae - many of which are called dragon or dragon lizards. Uromastyx benti is found in the southern Arabian Peninsula (southern Yemen and southern Oman.) Uromastyx are also called spiny-tailed lizards, and there are about 13 species world-wide. They tend to reside in dry, desert areas usually with rocky areas. They are omnivores, feeding on vegetation, such as grasses but will also feed on insects and other small invertebrates. These lizards are fairly colorful, usually exhibiting yellows, oranges, blues and greens.
