Western Camel – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Western Camel:
The Western Camel is a member of the genus of Camelops, which were camels that once inhabited much of western North America up until the end of the Pleistocene, which ended some 10,00 years ago. While much is known about how this camel might have lived because of the close relation to extant camels (the Bactrian and the Arabian) is it unclear just why this animal went extinct, along with nearly all of the Pleistocene megafauna on various continents around the world. While many models of this extinction are based much on the arrival of hunting humans into the area, it does not account fully for why nearly all of the large land mammals - save for Africa - went extinct. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
