The Mountain Tapir - also called the Woolly Tapir - is the second smallest of the five species of tapir (only the recently described Tapirus kabomani being smaller but there is no consensus that this is a new species) It is the only tapir that doesn't live in tropical rainforests. It is most easily distinguished from other tapirs by its thick woolly coat and white lips.
