The Queen Angelfish is a colorful fish found in the warm coral reefs of the Atlantic Ocean, specifically in and around Florida, the Bahamas and the Gulf of Mexico. Despite their bright coloration, these fish blend quite well into their surroundings. Queen Angelfish feed on sponges, jellyfish, corals, plankton and algae. Juveniles will serve as 'cleaner fish' to larger species and sea turtles. These fish do well in captivity and are frequently kept as pets in saltwater aquariums. They have tiny mouths that protract and contain slender brush-like teeth in a thin band.
