The African Spurred Tortoise (Centrochelys sulcata) – also called the Sulcata Tortoise, African Spur-thighed Tortoise or simply the Sulcata – is a land reptile native to the southern edges of the Sahara desert in central Africa. It’s the largest mainland tortoise and the third largest in the world.
