This includes the official state amphibian: the Eastern Tiger Salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum’) Amphibians are found in various moist, water-adjacent habitats like ponds, streams, lakes, swamps, and ditches, as well as damp woodlands, often hiding under logs, rocks, and leaf litter.
