The Bateleur Eagle (Terathopius ecaudatus) is a medium-sized, stocky raptor native to much of Africa and some small areas of Arabia. They have a large wingspan – over 6 feet (186 cm) weighing about 4 pounds 7 ounces (2.2 kg) These birds of prey hunt over large areas of the open savannah and woodlands within sub-Saharan Africa.
