Description

Vermont is home to about 100-120 butterfly species, including the Monarch, which is the official state butterfly. There’s also other diverse groups like swallowtails, skippers, and sulphurs. These insects are crucial pollinators and can be found statewide in fields, gardens, and roadsides.
