The Canadian Lynx (Lynx canadensis) is a medium-sized wildcat native to much of Canada and parts of the United States. It’s one of two species of Lynx native to North America (the other being the Bobcat.) They feed mostly on Snowshoe hares, but will also prey on other small mammals, birds and sometimes animals as large as Caribou or Deer. In the United States, the Canadian lynx is protected under the Endangered Species Act as a threatened species.
