The Cougar (Puma concolor) – also known as the Mountain Lion, Puma, Catamount or Panther  depending on the region – is a large predatory feline native to much of the Americas. It’s found in nearly every type of environment from deserts to rainforests. The cougar is the second-largest cat in the Americas after the Jaguar.
