Indian Gaur – Signed Fine Art Print

    $19.95 – $27.95

    Information about the Indian Gaur:

The Indian Gaur - sometimes called the Indian Bison - is a large member of the bovine family native to the evergreen forests or semi-evergreen and moist deciduous forests of much of Southeast Asia and the Indian Sub-continent. This animal has a head-and-body length of about 8.2-10.8 feet (250 to 330 cm) with a tail about 28 to 41 inches long (70 to 105 cm) An adult Gaur stands about 5.41 to 7.2 feet at the shoulder (165 to 220 cm) and on average weighs between 1,400 to 2,200 pounds (650 to 1,000 kg) Occasionally a large bull can weigh over 3,000 pounds (1,500 kg) Males are about one-fourth larger and heavier than females. They are herbivores, feeding on grasses, plants and flowers. Due to poaching and habitat loss the Gaur has been placed as endangered or vulnerable lists by some conservation organizations. Mandrill – Signed Fine Art Print

    $19.95 – $27.95

    Information about the Mandrill:

Mandrill is a primate of the Old World monkey family, closely related to the baboons and even more closely to the drill. It is found in southern Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Congo. Mandrills mostly live in tropical rainforests and forest-savanna mosaics. They live in groups called hordes. Mandrills have an omnivorous diet consisting mostly of fruits and insects. Their mating season takes place from June to October. Both the mandrill and the drill were once classified as baboons in the genus Papio, but recent research has determined that they should be separated into their own genus, Mandrillus. The mandrill is classified as vulnerable by IUCN. It is the largest monkey on the planet.

Persian Leopard – Signed Fine Art Print

    $19.95 – $27.95

    Information about the Persian Leopard:

The Persian Leopard - also called Caucasian leopard - is the largest leopard subspecies They are native to remote areas of northern Iran, eastern Turkey, the Caucasus mountains, southern Turkmenistan, and parts of western Afghanistan. This large wild cat endangered throughout its range with fewer than 871–1,290 mature individuals, and the population is declining. Like other large cats, Persian Leopards feed on goat, deer, gazelle and wild boar. They will attack and kill livestock and for this reason they are often exterminated by local farmers. At one time these leopards were most likely distributed once over the whole Caucasus, except for steppe areas. Surveys conducted between 2001 and 2005 confirmed that there are no more leopards in the western part of the Greater Caucasus, and that they survived only at a few sites in the eastern part. The largest populations survive in Iran. The political and social changes in the former Soviet Union in 1992 caused a severe economic crisis and a weakening of formerly effective protection systems.

    Javan Leopard

Javan Leopard – Signed Fine Art Print

    $19.95 – $27.95

    Information about the Javan Leopard:

The Javan Leopard is a leopard subspecies confined to the Indonesian island of Java and classified as critically endangered by IUCN since 2008. The population is estimated at less than 250 mature individuals, with a decreasing population trend. They are known to occur in Gunung Halimun National Park, Ujung Kulon National Park, Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, Ceremai National Park, Merbabu National Park, Merapi National Park, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Meru Betiri National Park, Baluran National Park, and Alas Purwo National Park.  They can thrive in a variety of habitats ranging from patches of dense tropical rainforest in the south-western part of the island, to the mountains, and to dry deciduous forests and scrub in the east. In the 1990s, they seemed to particularly thrive in the seral stages of successional vegetation patterns, which made them less susceptible than many other mammals to human's disruptive activities.
