Lizards of the World Poster

Lizards are a diverse group of over 6,000 species of reptiles characterized by scaly skin, typically four legs, and long tails, though some are legless or have adaptations like gliding membranes. Like all reptiles, they are cold-blooded (ectothermic), rely on sunlight for warmth, and use their tongues to “smell,” Lizards inhabit most warm regions globally from tropical rainforests to arid deserts. Common types include geckos, iguanas, chameleons, monitors, and skinks.
