The Osprey (Pandion Haliaetus) – also called the ‘Sea Hawk’ – is a fish-eating raptor. It is a large bird of prey reaching 24 inches in length a six-foot wingspan. They live and nest in many different areas always near a body of water. The Osprey is unique as it is a single species that occurs worldwide. The Osprey is the only bird of prey that has an outer toe that’s reversible, which allows it to grasp its prey with two toes in front and two behind.
