The Three-Toed Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina triunguis) is a small, terrestrial reptile native to the wooded and grassy habitats of the south-central United States, from Missouri and Oklahoma south to Alabama and west into Texas. It is one of seven species of the genera “Terrapene.”
