Description

Tree Frogs of North America Poster

North American tree frogs are part of the diverse amphibian order Anura. They are small, arboreal  frogs known for sticky toe pads, nocturnal habits, and loud calls (like the Spring Peeper or Barking Treefrog). They feed inclusively on insects and other small invertebrates. They come in many different shades and colors which they use for camouflage. They generally are found not too far  from water, which they use to breed in, laying hundreds of eggs that become tadpoles, before transforming into adult frogs.

For more information on tree frogs of North America visit: EBSCOiNaturalist.org, and National Wildlife Federation as they offer guides, species lists, and identification tips.
