The Wood Turtle (Glyptemys insculpta) are medium to small-sized turtles, with a carapace reaching between 6-9 inches. The Wood Turtle spends most of it’s time in forested areas, but it is also semi-aquatic and needs to be near streams, ponds and rivers.
