Grey Wolf Subspecies of the World Poster Print
There are thought to be around 30 subspecies of Grey Wolf or "Canis Lupis." Most are found in North America, with the rest in Eurasia and a single subspecies - the Dingo - residing in Australia (which taxonomic classification as a subspecies of the Grey Wolf is somewhat debatable.) Several more are extinct, with many teetering on the brink of extinction, most notable being the Iberian Wolf, which has a very small range and an estimated population of only a couple thousand. This poster features eight different subspecies of grey wolf, along with a range map and information about each species.

Information about the Iberian Wolf:
The Iberian Wolf is a sub-species of Gray Wolf native to the forests and open plains of northern Portugal northwestern Spain. It differs from the more common Eurasian Wolf by being thinner and having slightly different markings. The wolves live in small packs in the more remote areas of Iberian Peninsula, where they help to control the local populations of wild boar, deer and rabbit. They also feed on ibexes along with domestic animals like cow, sheep and goat (which often brings them into conflict with local farmers and shepherds) This species of wolf has come very close to extinction a few times, but conservation efforts and protection of the animal has resulted in the wolf expanding it's range.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
