Information about the Gray Jay:
The Gray Jay is a medium-sized passerine bird native to the boreal forests of of North America, from the north to the tree-line and in subalpine forests of the Rocky Mountains south to New Mexico and Arizona. There are several subspecies of this jay scattered across their range. The bird tends to prefer forests with black and white spruce trees, as well as pine trees. Like other jays they are opportunistic feeders and will eat a variety of plant matter such as nuts, fruits and insects, but they will also raid the nests of other birds and eat eggs and fledglings. The Gray Jay will also exploit human activity such as camping and raid campsites stealing any food they find. They will also store food - called "caching" during the summer and use that food to supplement it's diet through the long winter months.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
