Description
North Carolina hosts nearly 180 butterfly species, including the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail which is the official state butterfly. It is also home to Monarchs, and and various types of skippers, hairstreaks, swallowtails, and fritillaries. The butterflies can be found across diverse habitats from mountains to the coast, with resources like the NC Biodiversity Project, iNaturalist.org, or NC Wildlife offering identification guides, county maps, and monitoring programs.
The Butterflies of North Carolina poster features 20 different types of butterflies, complete with both common and scientific names and is shipped in a sturdy 2″ mailing tube with plastic endcaps. Poster can be signed or customized by the artist on request.
