The Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is a predatory feline native to sub-Saharan Africa. There’s also a subspecies in northern Iran. They’re found in a wide range of habitats including shrublands, grasslands, savannahs, and temperate to hot deserts. It is the fastest terrestrial mammal, estimated to be capable of running at 50 – 80 mph (80 to 128 km/h.)
