Penguins of The World Poster
Penguins are flightless seabirds, primarily in the Southern Hemisphere, known for their black-and-white coloring and upright amonst comical waddle on land. These birds are expert at swimming, using their flipper-like wings. They are able to catch fish, squid, and krill. While the body type is mostly uniform from the species, the size can range The Emperor Penguin which is the largest, standing over 4 feet tall and weighing up to 88 pounds to the smallest is the Little Penguin (also called Fairy Penguin), which is only about a foot tall and weighs 2-3 pounds.
Penguins have developed dense bones and oily feathers for cold ocean life. They form large colonies and these large numbers help protect them from predators like seals, orcas, and other seabirds.
