The Eurasian, Old World or Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) is a small bird of prey belonging to the kestrel group of the falcon family Falconidae. This raptor has a very large range, covering much of Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa, and on rare occasions reaching the east coast of North America.
