Ducks of the World Poster

Ducks are diverse, semi-aquatic birds in the same family as geese and swans. They are known for their waterproof feathers, webbed feet, and flat bills. They’re found on every continent except Antarctica. Depending on the species, duck can live in and around freshwater or saltwater habitats where they eat plants, insects, and small aquatic life. Duck will often form groups consisting of a few to hundreds of individuals. Males or “drakes” are often colorful, whereas females “hens” are plainer as they are often charged with guarding the nest and need to be less visible. Ducks are known for their long migrations, which can be many hundreds of miles.
