Types of Sloth Poster
Sloths are famously slow, tree-dwelling mammals from Central and South American rainforests, known for their low metabolism, algae-covered fur for camouflage, and unique adaptations like extra neck vertebrae for turning their heads almost fully around. They are herbivores, eating leaves, twigs, and buds, with a very slow digestion that can take weeks, and they are surprisingly strong swimmers, moving faster in water than on land. There are two main types, two-toed and three-toed, and they spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the canopy, sleeping up to 15 hours a day.
