Species of Tapir Poster Print

There are currently four living species of tapir in the world. Three – Baird’s, Brazilian and Mountain – are native to rainforests of South and Central America and the Malayan or Asian Tapir is found in the forests and swamps of Malaysia and Sumatra. All species are considered endangered or vulnerable due to habitat loss and degradation and illegal poaching.
