Venomous Snakes of Texas Poster

The Texas is home to 15 species of venomous snakes, primarily categorized into four groups: rattlesnakes, copperheads, cottonmouths, and coral snakes. While venomous snakes are found in most states—excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, and Rhode Island—fatalities are rare, with only about 5 deaths occurring annually out of 7,000–8,000 bites, largely due to readily available antivenom.
