Artist’s notes:

The emperor Scorpion was completed on 2.14.2012. I’d been meaning to draw one of these wicked looking invertebrate for a long time. Arachnids are a lot of fun to draw, as the texture and contours are really conducive to the medium of ink and digital tinting. I’m considering drawing another species of scorpion, but am unsure of which one (please send me an email if you have a suggestion!) The drawing is based on a photo Délirante bestiole.
