Artist’s notes:
The European Spiny Lobster was completed on 8.19.2013. I loved the coloration of this crustacean! Something about the blues, oranges and cream colors that is really pleasing to the eye. And as I had already drawn am American Lobster, it seemed only fair to create a drawing of the European Spiny Lobster. The illustration is based on a photo by Ellen van Yperen and was used with her permission.
