California Ground Squirrel – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Ground Squirrel:
Ground Squirrels are small rodents and members of the genus Marmota which include marmots, chipmunks and prairie dogs. They live in large groups, dwelling in large communal areas, usually in and around rocky areas often not far from water. They are very alert animals, and when danger is sighted they emit a large audible squeak which warns the others to take cover. They are very successful animals, living all over the world and in many different types of environment. They will live in cities too, as long as there is room and a food source, which is usually vegetable matter like leaves, stems, flowers, seeds, berries and fruits. On occasion, however, it will eat insects and even small animals.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Artist’s notes:
The California Ground Squirrel was completed back in 2007, for a series of informative trail signs that were to be used in San Antonio’s Stone Oak Park. Well, last I heard they ended up not following through with the project – although I might have to check because sometimes these things end up being pushed through.
