Steller’s Sea Eagle – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Steller’s Sea Eagle:
The Steller’s sea eagle – named for German naturalist Georg Wilhelm Steller – is a bird of prey found in coastal northeastern Asia, predominately in eastern parts of Russia but is encountered all along the seaboard down to areas south of Japan. They are one of the largest raptors with an impressive wingspan of up to almost eight feet. While occasionally these birds are found in North America they are not considered natives. The Steller’s sea eagle feeds mostly on fish, favoring salmon, cod and trout. They will also attack smaller waterfowl such as ducks, geese, swans and gulls as well as mammals, and crustaceans.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Artist’s notes:
The Steller’s Sea Eagle was completed on 1.24.10. This drawing is special because it represents the 300th completed color illustration I’ve completed. Including the B&W; images the total is about 365. I hope, one day, to have 1,000 full color illustrations completed. The drawing is based on a photo by John King.
