Artist’s notes:

The Two-Tailed Swallowtail Butterfly was completed on 5.11.2012. This is the second state (Arizona) that I am working through creating all official state animals. I hadn’t heard of this butterfly until I leaned Arizona has selected it as their state insect. This also marks the fourth of the Swallowtail butterflies I’ve drawn. I enjoy drawing this amazing insects, even when the coloration and patterns might be very similar to some of their closely related species.
