Kingfisher Species of the World Poster Print

There are about 120 species of kingfisher. They’re found on all continents except for Antarctica. They dwell in a very wide range of natural environments (except for deserts and polar regions) usually not far from a water source. Their name comes of the fact that they are highly adept at catching their primary prey: fish. But there are some species that also feed on amphibians, invertebrates and even other birds and small mammals.
