Marsh Deer – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Marsh Deer:
The Marsh Deer is the largest species of deer native to South America. It’s original range included much of the continent including tropical and subtropical areas, but now they’re only found in small areas and only in marsh and lagoon zones. Adults grow to be about 3.9 feet (1.2) tall and 6.6 feet (3.9) long. Because they live in marshy areas, their diet is mostly aquatic plants. They are solitary animals or living in groups with less than 6 individuals with only an adult male. Their main predators are the jaguar and the puma.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Marsh Deer was completed on December 31st, 2015. It was the last drawing of the year, where I was able to complete about 250 new drawings. I had been working on a collage of animals native to the Pantanal in Brazil. A friend suggested a Marsh Deer as part of the collage. I drew, due to poor research, a Pampas Deer instead. But I was able to start again and complete this drawing in just a few days.
